Patient Information

****Important Information Regarding COVID-19****

We hope that you and yours are well amidst the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19
pandemic these past few months. Like you, we look forward to assuming our “new normal” soon.

Orders from California state officials, the California Department of Health, the California State Dental Board, and other regulatory agencies required Hoch Endodontics to remain open over the last 2 months for emergency appointments only. If we had to postpone your appointment, please accept our sincere apologies for any inconveniences. This was done under an abundance of caution, as the orders for dental specialists to remain open applied only to emergency treatment.

We are continuously monitoring the U.S. Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, National Institutes of Health, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and multiple California regulatory agencies to provide a safe environment for you, our staff, and ourselves. As such, our team feels it is necessary to describe several new important protocols that we have implemented immediately to ensure your level of comfort and safety for when you visit our office:

o We will continue to prioritize urgent care.

o Patients who had their appointments postponed will be re-scheduled as soon as possible.

o We will be implementing supplemental screening procedures prior to your visit as well as upon your arrival at our office.

o Please wear a mask when entering the office and practice social distancing protocols.

o Once in the treatment room we will take your temperature, require that you rinse with
an antiseptic mouth rinse for thirty seconds, and ask you several questions about your
health history, your overall well being, and review your dental issue(s).

Hoch Endodontics has been exercising “Universal Precautions” in our practice since its inception in 2004. We take every safeguard to prevent transmission of diseases. These measures include sanitization of surfaces, sterilization of instruments, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) by our staff. Additional safety methods and measures will be taken for your protection. You will recognize some of the practices while others will be completed behind the scenes.

Symptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms.

We appreciate your trust and confidence in Hoch Endodontics.  If you have any questions, please contact our office, and one of our staff members will be more than happy to assist you. We are happy to discuss your individual concerns.
