General Information

Scheduling/ Fees/ What to expect

Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8 am until 5 pm.  We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible.  If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day.  We have time slots allocated each specifically to accommodate patients in pain.

If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office.  We will routinely take the necessary films at our facility.

Scheduling an appointment is typically done over the phone, an interaction that we consider vital to enabling our patients to receive the most appropriate care.  Our front office staff will ask a few questions regarding pain level, presence of swelling, and current health/medication history.  This information will help us to not only schedule the appropriate amount of time for your visit, but also prepares us to address the physical and emotional needs fo the patient.

At the time you make your appointment, please alert the office if you have any special needs requiring attention, including medical conditions that may be of concern prior to your visit.

If you have been advised by your physician or dentist to use antibiotic premedication because of mitral valve prolapse (MVP), heart murmur, hip, knee cardiac or other prosthesis, or if you have rheumatic heart disease, please make sure you are on the appropriate antibiotic on the day of your appointment.  If there is a question, please call our office prior to your appointment.

For your convenience we accept Visa, Mastercard, personal checks and cash.  We deliver the highest quality care at the most reasonable cost to our patients.  Payment is due in full at the time of service.

If you have insurance coverage, as a courtesy we will contact your insurance company to determine an estimate for treatment.  Your portion will be due at the time of treatment.

The fee for your endodontic treatment will be based on the extent of treatment required.  We estimate the potential fee prior to you coming to our office in order to increase our communication.

Your appointment will consist of a consultation during which we do a comprehensive examination and take diagnostic films.  We will determine whether root canal treatment is indicated and discuss any special considerations involving your case.  We will explain your diagnosis and review your treatment options, as well as the risks, benefits and prognosis of each option.

Most often, treatment can be done the same day as the consultation.  However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment.

A separate pre-operative consultation is also required for patients opting to undergo oral sedation and for those considering IV sedation.
